To correctly fulfill your order for a custom printed feather flag, we need computer art created according to the following specifications.
 

Art Guidelines
Digital files required from either Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. Flag files need to contain a true composite of the desired design including all specified color information with fonts “converted to paths” or “created as outlines,” i.e., the fonts must be vectorized. If using Illustrator, we prefer that you do not link to external support files, but instead, embed all external support files into the document itself. The file should be created and saved in CMYK format (as the printing process cannot reproduce the entire RGB gamut). Pantone Matching System (PMS) designations can be used to specify colors, but understand that PMS colors cannot be matched precisely as we are printing in a CMYK digital process. Vector art must be provided as an .ai, .eps or .pdf file (with High Quality Print setting selected). (Other programs can be used -- such as CorelDraw, InDesign, or FreeHand -- but you must provide your print file in an EPS or PDF format.)

If the design is created in Photoshop, it must be created at 150 PPI at full size (100% print size) and must be in CMYK mode when saved. (This would also apply to photo/bitmap support files that are embedded in the programs mentioned above.) These files should be saved in .jpg format at the Highest or Maximum Quality setting. This setting will prevent loss of detail while providing the best compression of the file.

In addition to the full-size Illustrator or Photoshop file, also provide a reduced-sized version of your art saved in .jpg or .pdf format for our office and email use. A hard copy color proof is also required, to assure correct color communication and content assessment.
