Grave markers are sometimes called military flag holders for graves, gravesite flag holders or a veteran grave flag holder

Custom flag holders for veterans graves can be protected with your driver's license number or some other number on the back.

I am NOT creating a data base of ID numbers! I will have no way to look your cemetery flag holders up by the number I engrave on the back. The idea is to show a potential thief and a potential buyer of your stolen property that your marker can get them in trouble if found in their possession.

Make your flag holder theft resistant!

I have been researching the recommendations of law enforcement agencies nation wide as regards engraving valuables to make them less attractive to thieves. Here is what the City of Tempe AZ Crime Prevention Unit says:
"Marked property is difficult for a burglar to dispose of or re-sell. It can be traced to the rightful owner with relative ease. If the burglar is caught with marked property, It is solid evidence of possession of stolen goods"

So I bought one of the engraving tools they suggest using.

ON CUSTOM FLAG HOLDERS ONLY, I will personally engrave the back of your marker with your state abbreviation and your driver's license number. EXAMPLE: NY1234567. Or pick some other number. Any scrap dealer who is presented by a thief with your stolen marker will be on notice that he is accepting stolen property.

When ordering your custom cemetery flag holder, just indicate your driver's license number if you want your marker to be protected

I WILL NOT ENGRAVE A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. IF YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE NUMBER IS THE SAME AS YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, DO NOT USE IT. NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. In providing me with a number to engrave, you are certifying and promising that it is NOT your social security number.

Three pack $12.00 : for three real nice quality flags. Just look at the close-up picture showing that thick 3/8" staff with full hemmed cotton flags. For a grave marker, you want the full size 3/8" staff because it fits much better in the flag holder than skinny 5/16" staffs.

For grave markers, the best size flag to use is 12x18" on a full size 3/8" staff. It fits the tightest.  Larger quantities and other sizes
