3' x 5' Puerto Rico Flag

Designed in 1895 by members of the Puerto Rican Revolutionary Committee in New York City, the Puerto Rico flag spent decades as an underground symbol of independence — its display on the island was formally criminalized under the Gag Law of 1948 until Puerto Rico became a Commonwealth in 1952 and the flag was officially adopted. The single white star on the blue triangle represents the Commonwealth; the three red stripes stand for the blood shed in defense of liberty; the two white stripes represent the peace sought in that struggle. The design deliberately mirrors the Cuban flag — a gesture of solidarity between the two independence movements of that era.

This 3' x 5' flag is made from 200-denier outdoor nylon with digitally printed, fade-resistant colors. Features a reinforced polyester canvas heading and brass grommets for standard flagpole mounting. Proudly made in the United States.
